I retired at the end of 2010, and wanted to buy a small house to relax and "play with my techie toys".  Since my financing is limited, I was looking at repo homes and short sales. Janie and I started looking in November, and ran into layers and layers of federal and bank indifference.  We made a number of offers which didn't work out for various reasons, but Janie jumped back in each time and we went looking again, over the whole of way-North Austin.  She showed relentless good humor, even as the feds changed the rules and processes in the middle of transactions.  We finally locked into a house in Round Rock, and she and her husband helped me get it through the inspection process ... a team effort!
I heartily recommend San Juanita Schafer (Janie) as a serious professional with the skills needed in the current real estate market.  But real estate skills and instincts are only a very small part of what Janie offers her clients.  She protected my interests, offered excellent advice, and introduced me to other professionals who helped steer me as needed.
